RONSTADT GENERATIONS
Four voices, multi-instrumentalists, solo artists and original songwriters with a rich family blend offer audiences the chance to truly have an experience to be remembered. Ronstadt Generations consists of Michael J. Ronstadt, Michael G. Ronstadt, Petie Ronstadt and Josh Hisle, spanning two generations with a repertoire that reaches back to the end of the 19th century while continually looking forward into the 21st. Michael J. Ronstadt is a vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who continues in the tradition of troubadours. He has toured all over the world since 2004 with the Santa Cruz River Band, released 2 children’s albums and 1 gospel CD, and performed on seven of Linda Ronstadt’s recordings. Michael has been on stage with Los Lobos, Mariachi Cobre, The Gatlin Brothers, Linda Ronstadt, and the Dixie Hummingbirds.
Petie always knows how to work an audience and fit right into the ideal musical pocket. He toured with the Santa Cruz River Band from 2008-2010 and performed with a wide spectrum of his own bands like Doyle Brunson and The Goodbye Kiss. Petie co-owns and operates Landmark Sound Recorders in Tucson, Arizona, recording top artists throughout the state.
Josh Hisle tours with Michael G. Ronstadt as the national touring duo, Lost In Holland. He is a Fox 2/5 Marine, songwriter, world-class guitarist and has his music featured in Neil Young’s CSNY/Déjà Vu (2008). His songwriting background and combat experience bring forth passion and truth, both virtues rarely seen in today's music. Along with cellist, guitarist and songwriter Michael G. Ronstadt, Lost In Holland has had the opportunity to perform for and with Neil Young, Walt Michael, Norah Jones, Death Cab For Cutie, The Santa Cruz River Band, and Guy Davis.
Michael G. Ronstadt has his Master of Music degree in cello performance, but performs everything they didn’t teach in school. He is conversant in a wide range of musical styles and can sit in with virtually anyone including sharing the stage with artists like David Bromberg, Linda Ronstadt, Murial Anderson, Lisa Biales, and The Santa Cruz River Band.
